About the Author

Evan Whitten was born in Hartford, Connecticut. Raised in a Catholic family with roots in Calabria, Italy, he came of age in Connecticut’s Farmington River Valley before his family relocated to Houston, where he developed a lifelong passion for science and music.

Evan pursued dual majors in biology and chemistry in college, studied music theory and guitar at the Julius Hartt School of Music, and later founded and operated a Texas company that provided services for cancer patients at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston’s Texas Medical Center.

After a seven-year spiritual sabbatical in Uruguay, he returned to the United States and began writing The Final Gospel.

Part memoir, part spiritual testimony, and part investigation into some of life's deepest questions, The Final Gospel is the culmination of a journey that spans decades.

Readers are invited to examine familiar questions from an entirely new perspective. Regardless of background or belief, readers will find their understanding of reality tested and their sense of possibility expanded.
